A video of Rep. Aniceto ‘John’ Bertiz became viral online. The said video consisted of the said representative confronting an airport screening officer.
Bertiz refused to follow protocol of removing his shoes and instead flashed his identification card at the face of the security officer.
An explanation?
Bertiz said that he only confronted the security officer for supposedly letting “Chinese” people pass through without thorough checking. According to Bertiz, the posts about the video had twisted what really happened.
The video, however, was never edited.
A Facebook page, Bitcoin 101, uploaded the uncut version of the video. The page, however, added texts to highlight and spot what was going on.

Sen. JV Ejercito re-posted a news report from CNN Philippines and shared his own opinion.
“Palusot pa more! Kitang kita sa video Mr. Congressman kahit walang audio kung paano ka umasta! Hindi lisensya para magmalaki ang may suot kang pin ng Kongreso dapat nga mas maingat sa publiko kapag suot mo yan!”
“I am not a member of the House of Representatives. We also have Parliamentary courtesy supposedly we cannot attack any member of the other house. But I just said my piece about the incident.”
Many netizens described Bertiz’s behavior as a sign of “arrogance.”
