The Songbird Regine Velasquez indeed soars high as ratings of Kapamilya shows she guested have shoot its ratings against competitors.
After the much talked about or more correctly much bashed about Kapamilya comeback, Velasquez-Alcasid proved to be the queen who commands numbers.
TV Ratings.
According to the ratings report by Kantar Media, ABS-CBN shows where Regine first appeared as a Kapamilya won over its rival shows.
‘ASAP in Sydney’ where Regine was presented as the comebacking Kapamilya edged rival ‘Sunday Pinasaya’.
ASAP with Regine scored 11.4% in national TV ratings, 2.8% higher than Sunday Pinasaya‘s 8.6%.
It also registered good ratings in Kantar’s Mega Manila and Metro Manila surveys, respectively.
Same goes with her ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ (GGV) guesting where it registered a ratings of 9.0% vs 7.2% in National and 14.8% vs 11.5% and 19.8% vs 11.0% in Mega Manila and Metro Manila respectively.
Meanwhile, AGB is split as it reported a win for Regine on Household ratings and an upset in GMA’s benchmark People ratings.

Aside from TV ratings, Regine’s Kapamilya comeback was also warmly welcomed on Social media.
Social media numbers showed Regine’s TV supremacy.
On Twitter, her GGv guesting with the hashtag #RegineOnGGV landed on the top of Twitter trends in the Philippines.
The video of the episode posted on GGV’s Facebook page and ABS-CBN’s Youtube channel also raked views ranging from 1.5 million to 1.7 million.
With these numbers, Regine was vindicated when she said that ABS-CBN is really the number 1 network in the country.
Her transfer may have caused havoc on her fans who cannot accept her decision, but the songbird is not queen for nothing. She’s a definitely a royalty who commands numbers of followers (who will be there for her no matter where she goes).
And the is the magic of the Asia’s Songbird, her voice can attract attention and her presence truly commands attraction.
