- Marco, however, clarified this and had an agreement with Janella, ending whatever they had going on.

Janella Salvador and Marco Gumabao were spotted together in a public place. According to the people who had spotted them, the pair looked sweet and seemed to be holding hands. Marco, however, clarified the matter and insisted that they weren’t alone on a date.
Marco and Janella are not dating.
Due to the backlash, Marco and Janella agreed that they would end whatever they had going on.
“Pinag-usapan namin na, ‘I think it’s best, kung anuman ang nangyayari, i-end na natin agad.’ May picture nga na lumabas. So, parang we talked about it. Sabi namin, ‘Huwag na nating bigyan ng reason ang mga tao para magalit pa.’ So, we are just friends.”
Marco apologizes to Elmo.
Amid this clarification, Gumabao still took it upon himself to apologize to Elmo Magalona. Janella and Elmo have been involved in a controversy as the latter made her go through physical abuse.
“Well, kami lang naman ni Janella, we hung out. We went out, we were both single. And nung lumabas yung video or picture, nagulat kami sa reaction ng tao.”
During the Family is Love: The ABS-CBN Christmas Concert, Marco approached Elmo to apologize. Gumabao felt like they were avoiding each other.
“I went up pa nga to Elmo nung Christmas special. Sabi ko, napansin ko na hindi kami nagpapansinan, may konting iwasan na nangyayari. So, lumapit ako sa kanya, sabi ko… hindi naman siguro siya nagseselos… pero because of the issue, may konting ilangan na hindi mo naman maiiwasan din.”
“So, ako ako na mismo ang lumapit sa kanya, sabi ko, ‘Kung anuman yung lumabas na issue, we didn’t mean na sirain ang relationship mo with Janella or what… Sabi niya sa akin, ‘You know what, Marco, I really appreciate you coming up to me.'”
“Sabi niya, ‘Not most guys would do this na magso-sorry o mag-o-own up sa mistake.’ Kasi ako, aminado rin naman ako na nagkamali rin ako because, siyempre, dun nga sa ano [picture] na-mislead yung mga tao into thinking na Janella and I were dating.”
“Pero in fact, we’re just friends going out with a group of friends. Kung meron mang medyo nagkaroon ng misunderstanding, I’m sorry for that, and nag-sorry na ako kay Elmo.”
