It’s going to be an amazing Christmas for the city’s northerners as Vertis North, the city center of Quezon City, unveils an exciting array of activities to kick off the happiest time of the year.
Reimagine the Magic with Disney
Starting November 29, the magic unfolds as Vertis North welcomes the holidays with Reimagine the Magic: A Festival of Lights, an enchanting lights and sound spectacle that will run until January 15, 2019. A collaboration between Ayala Land Inc. and the Walt Disney Company Philippines, this spectacular holiday experience features thousands of twinkling lights dancing rhythmically to the tune of well-loved Disney songs and Filipino Christmas carols.
Three medleys featuring Disney favorites from Disney Classics, Disney Princesses, and the film ‘Frozen’ will accompany the light display, masterfully created by lighting master Voltaire de Jesus & Sueyen Austero and skillfully arranged by composer Rony Fortich, who previously worked in Hong Kong Disneyland. Among the Disney songs that will amaze everyone are ‘Part of Your World’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘A Whole New World’, ‘A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes’, ‘I See The Light’, ‘Do You Want To Build a Snowman’, ‘For the First Time in Forever’, ‘Love is An Open Door’, ‘Let it Go’, ‘Mickey Mouse March’, ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’, ‘Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah’, and ‘Steamboat Willie Whistle’. Timeless Filipino Christmas songs will also be played, such as ‘Pasko Na Naman’, ‘Kumukutikutitap’, ‘Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit’, and ‘Noche Buena’.
Experience a truly Filipino Christmas like no other
From November 18, 2018 to January 7, 2019, awaken amazing traditions for the young and the young at heart with Laro Interactives, featuring traditional Filipino games such as piko, limbo rock, and dama played in various areas of Vertis North Mall’s The Garden, which are sure to bring out the child in you.
Sundays at Vertis North are a perfect time to bond with loved ones as you listen to amazing Christmas Symphonies with presentations from the Male Ensemble Nine on December 2, Lighter Side Movement on December 9, Schola Cantorum Scholars on December 16, Voces Manila on December 23, and Song Weavers Philippines on December 30.
You can also help spread the spirit of sharing and generosity with Laruang Aguinaldo, as Toys ‘R’ Us and Long Live Play PH sell toys that customers can purchase and donate to UNICEF and Kids for Kids.
Of course, Christmas is all about beautiful Filipino traditions, and Vertis North keeps the wonderful Simbang Tradition alive with nightly masses at 7 pm from December 15 all the way to December 23, right at Level 2 of the mall.
Side by side these holiday events are activities to enthrall everyone at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent. These include the Manila 2018 Throwdown Team Edition Finals on December 9 and the Urban Sale of the Vans Group from December 16 to 19.
