Actress Arci Muñoz remains unfazed by criticism surrounding her physical appearance, particularly issues related to her past cosmetic enhancements.

Speaking during the special screening of her film ‘Sweet Escape’ at Sinag Maynila 2026, Muñoz addressed the long-standing scrutiny over her evolving look, emphasizing that she has never been affected by public opinion.
“I was never bothered. I never gave a sh*t. Everyone knows I’ve had that kind of attitude ever since,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN.
Muñoz, who has been open about undergoing procedures such as nose and lip enhancements, noted that she was among the few celebrities who spoke candidly about such decisions early on.
“Considering how vocal I used to be about my facial improvements, I may say that I am an OG now that everyone is willing to doing physical enhancements. Tapos na ako riyan,” she said.
She reiterated that her personal happiness takes precedence over public perception.
“Never ako na-bother. I just do what I do and I do what I love as long as I am happy. I don’t really care what other people say,” she added.
In a separate interview on ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,’ Muñoz also acknowledged having some regrets about her past decisions, but shared that these experiences helped her grow.
“Actually, alam mo, may reason kung bakit nangyari sa akin ‘tong mga ito. Kasi may mga regrets din ako pagdating diyan. Pero alam mo, sinabi ko talaga sa sarili ko, ‘God has a purpose because I learned,’” she said.
She added that she now advises others carefully when asked about undergoing similar procedures.
“When someone approaches me and they’re like, ‘Mona, should I do this? Should I do that?’ I was, like, if I think they don’t really need to do it, ‘Nooo! No girl, huwag talaga. You’ll regret it, sige ka,’” she shared.

Beyond the issue of appearance, Muñoz also reflected on her approach to her career, saying recognition is secondary to giving her best in every project.
“As long as I know I gave it my all. That has always been my mindset… It’s only a bonus if you win an award,” she said.
Muñoz stars in ‘Sweet Escape’, directed by Rommel Ricafort, alongside Korean actor Kang Donggun, as part of the Sinag Maynila 2026 lineup.
