Sunshine Cruz played the role of Rosario “Rio” Matias-del Valle / Rio Fonacier-del Valle on the GMA afternoon prime series, ‘Kapag Nahati and Puso,’ together with Benjamin Alvez and and Bea Binene.
The show premiered on July 16, 2018 and was concluded on November 2, 2018, running a total of 80 episodes. This was the comeback role of Sunshine Cruz in GMA Network after a seven-year absence.

The comeback role happened after she played the role of Camia Delos Santos-Cruz or Jasmine, the mother of Lily Cruz (Maja Salvador), in the hit afternoon series ‘Wildflower.’ The show lasted for a year, starting on February 13, 2017 until February 9, 2018.
