  • Broadcast programs in the evening had a close battle in the people ratings list
  • Ratings game are becoming more intense in the primetime slot

The country’s two largest television networks, ABS-CBN and GMA Network, battle it up on the television ratings game of its primetime bloc, as the programs catch up on the daily ratings.

According to the March 11 and 12 results of the AGB Nielsen NUTAM People Ratings, primetime programs made a close tussle as both networks engaged in new and exciting means of bringing quality entertainment to its audiences.

Though GMA Network lost in the two-day ratings, it gave a close gap difference against ABS-CBN Network.

Based on the March 11 results, the Kapamilya Network’s longest-running action series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ gained a total average of 14.3 percent as against Kapuso Network’s fantasy series ‘Kara Mia’ which earned a percentage of 10.1 views, having at least a gap of 4.2 percent. Next is ‘The Generals Daughter’ which earned a total percentage of 12.0 views gaining at least a 0.1 score difference against the defunct drama series ‘Onanay,’ which gained a percentage of 11.9. Another 0.1 percent score gap is the extended drama series ‘Halik’ which earned a total average of 9.9 percent, as against the romantic drama ‘TODA One I Love’ which gained a percentage of 9.8 views.

March 11, 2019 – Monday
Kara Mia: 10.1% vs. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: 14.3%
Onanay: 11.9% vs. The General’s Daughter: 12.0%
TODA One I Love: 9.8% vs. Halik: 9.9%

On March 12, the primetime bloc programs gap got a little wider when ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ gained a percentage views of 15.3 as compared to its rival ‘Kara Mia’ that gained a lesser percent of 5.7 having a total of 9.6 percent of audience share. While the primetime series ‘The Generals Daughter’ remained with a 0.1 gap, as it gained a total percentage of 11.7 versus ‘Onanay’ which gained an average of 11.6 percent views. Lastly, ‘Halik’ earned a total percent of 11.6 against ‘TODA One I Love,’ which gained a percentage of 8.9, having at least a score difference 2.7 percent.

March 12, 2019 – Tuesday
Kara Mia: 9.6% vs. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: 15.3%
Onanay: 11.6% vs. The General’s Daughter: 11.7%
TODA One I Love: 8.9% vs. Halik: 11.6%

This comes to show that the primetime bloc programs have the toughest match up as it is the time where netizens have greater availability to access and watch the shows.
