GMA Network’s veteran talent Joey de Leon reminisces the times when he was still an artist of ABS-CBN.
In his recent post, he proudly announced that he was one of the enlisted pioneers of ABS-CBN during years 1946-1972. This list was made by the Network to pay tribute to those artists who were part, and the reason, for its success.
Joey took this humorously, as this proved how old he was, but at the same time, he was gladly thankful for he was recognized together with other great artists.
“Isang Tula:”Wow Pero Ngek!” Ganyan pala ako kagaling ehem, ehem! Nakita nyo naman kasama kong mga names! Ganyan lang naman katindi aking narating! Ngek, it means eh ganyan na ako katanda rin!”

This was not the first time that the longtime host of the variety show ‘Eat Bulaga!’ named his previous network for it was noticed that he has been nostalgic, after a series of recollecting memories from his Kapamilya network days were posted.
On March 1, Joey posted a throwback photo of his actual appointment that stated his employment status in ABS-CBN as a regular announcer.

On February 27, a throwback photo of his old I.D. in ABS-CBN was also posted, claiming that he found the I.D. as he was cleaning his things.

On February 12, another throwback photo was posted where he was wearing an ABS-CBN cap back in 1968.

Also, his son Kempee de Leon revealed something about his father who kept a broken tile of an ABS-CBN CR during its reconstruction, stating that the tile had a logo on it.
“Nu’ng giniba na ‘yung isang part ng CR sa ABS-CBN, may mga logo sa tiles na nu’n e, ABS-CBN logo. Itinago niya ‘yung isang tile na pinagbakbakan.”
