The country’s two largest television networks, ABS-CBN and GMA Network, battle it up on the television ratings game on its primetime bloc, as the programs catch up on the daily ratings. Starting last Monday (March 18), another primetime rivalry has started and this time it featured two different genres.
With ‘Onanay’ last week, we can say that GMA Telebabad is fighting since the show can pull the ratings up on its timeslot and maintain it until ‘TODA One I Love.’ But this week’s scenario is totally different.
Based on NUTAM People Ratings on Monday (March 18), the three Kapuso dramas ‘Kara Mia,’ the newly premiered ‘Sahaya’ and ‘TODA One I Love’ lose on its ratings battle against its counterparts. ‘Kara Mia’ only got 10.1% while ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ recorded a rating of 14.3%; ‘Sahaya’ started very low with 10.2% only while it’s rival ‘The General’s Daughter’ hit 12.6%; ‘TODA One I Love’ received only 9.8% while ‘Halik’ got 10.8% rating.

ABS-CBN was able to maintain their viewers’ interest after their news program up until their late-night drama, ‘Halik.’
Meanwhile on Kantar Media, ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ remained the leader in the ratings game with 42.4% versus ‘Kara Mia’ with only 15.8%; ‘The General’s Daughter’ recorded a 34% national TV rating last Monday (March 18), beating new rival program ‘Sahaya’ that only scored 15.9%; ‘Halik’ also maintained a very wide gap against its competitor ‘TODA One I Love’ with 24.8% versus 10.9% rating.
