Philippine’s superheroine Darna has been the most favorite fictional character for many Filipinos. It has become so popular that many stars in the showbiz industry have portrayed the role, and as of this time, it already gained a total of 13 portrayals, starting from 1951 and ending in 2009, and now Darna is yet again having its new release with another star that will play the role.
At first, it was the Queen of Action Angel Locsin who was chosen to portray the character, but due to her spine injury, she wasn’t able to continue. Therefore the production staff looked for another possible Darna and they have eyed actress Liza Soberano.
But recent news came up that she would also not be continuing her Darna adventure for she too had an injury with her finger, which still has not healed since her series ‘Bagani’ folded.
Coincidentally, out of nowhere, a netizen has noticed that the sad news which came on April 04 was also the anniversary of Angel Locsin’s 2005 Darna. This timing got netizens intrigued by how Liza’s withdrawal from her Darna role coincided with Angel’s Darna pilot episode.
