Jessica Soho is a multi-awarded broadcast journalist of GMA Network and the host of different top-rated shows like the news magazine program ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,’ and the newscast ‘State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.’
She had won several awards not just locally, but internationally. She was also the first Filipino to bag the British Fleet Journalism Award in 1998.
Jessica first joined GMA News in 1985, and from then on, she honed her skills in broadcasting and became one of the pillars of the News and Public Affairs of the network.
Through the years, the award-winning journalist has earned the trust of many Filipinos in delivering quality and legit news, and inspiring life stories.
Apparently, her news magazine program ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho’ is one of the shows of GMA Network that many are looking forward to. That is why many were appalled and overwhelmed when several posts, claiming that she allegedly resigned due to advertising a product, made rounds in a social media site.
However, these rumors have been halted as GMA Network, particularly GMA News, released a statement clarifying that the posts making rounds on social media are nothing but fallacy and Jessica remains a Kapuso and host of her programs.
On Facebook, the post reads, “We would like to proudly reiterate that Ms. Soho remains with GMA Network, where she hosts the most-watched program in the Philippines, “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” on GMA-7, as well as “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho” and “Brigada” on GMA News TV.”
GMA News also cleared that the host did not endorse any consumer product as what the rumors claim.
“Ms. Soho has also not endorsed any consumer products, contrary to the contents of the misleading posts.”
