  • Jimmy Bondoc’s rants against ABS-CBN sparks an online show of support for the network
  • Celebrities detail how the kapamilya network changed their lives

Ever since Jimmy Bondoc’s Facebook post about how he was looking forward to the closure of the “biggest network”, various people—celebrities and regular people alike—have come out in support of ABS-CBN, the network Bondoc was apparently referring to in his rants.

The stars of ABS-CBN showed their overflowing support for their mother network. On social media, the 65th year anniversary logo of ABS-CBN was posted by the artists along with their messages of support and gratitude. Bondoc’s rant has instead been turned into takeoff point for kapamilyas to become stronger as a network, inside and outside.

One of the actors that defended the network right after the post was Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin who called the singer’s happiness over thousands of people losing their jobs as “pure evil.”

Charo Santos, JM De Guzman, Richard Gomez, and others followed suit and posted their messages of gratitude and support.

“I am proud and honored to be part of a company with a mission to SERVE. Thank you to our dear Kapamilyas for allowing us to be part of your lives for the past 65 years!!! ❤️ To my family in ABS-CBN, taas noo ko kayong ipinagmamalaki. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and serve with you!!! ❤️ #ForeverAKapamilya #Happy65thABSCBN #ForeverGrateful”

“Ako rin po ay isa ring kapamilya at lubos na nagpapasalamat sa pamunuan ng Abs Cbn at ng lahat ng mga kapamilyang tumatangkilik sa aming mga palabas sapagkat mayroon akong trabaho at nagagamit ko ang kakayahan na ibinigay sa aking ng poong maykapal.”

“What a journey it’s been. To inspire many is a feat…but to inspire countless is a victory. Thank you for making me part of the family. Happy anniversary #ABSCBN”
