After six years of being together, Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay split up with his longtime girlfriend Joanne Villablanca.
“Yes, we have broken up,” Derek confirmed the split.
When asked why they broke up, the actor said he wants to keep the details between them.
“I’d like to keep that between the both of us. It’s all for the best”
With the breakup, a lot of rumors circulated that there might be a third party involved, specifically Derek Ramsay’s new leading lady Andrea Torres.
“That’s unfair naman to Andrea na nadadamay pa siya, kasi, leading lady ko siya. Andrea is a great person, and I got a great friendship with Andrea,” Derek said.
“Disenteng babae po si Andrea. That’s not fair na nadawit pa siya sa break-up namin.Unfair naman na si Andrea na sinabihan nilang dahilan, e, hindi naman,”
Derek had been very vocal about his plans to marry his now ex-girlfriend.
After signing a contract with GMA Network, he even shared he had some proposal ideas he was planning.
“Marami na akong version na inisip sa utak. Pero wala pa kung ano ‘yung gagawin ko. It’s difficult kasi gusto ko, maiba “
Derek also confirmed that the breakup was a mutual decision.
“It wasn’t sigawan, murahan, iyong mga ganung klaseng break-up. Walang ganoon. It was mutual.”
