Jimmy Bondoc explains some of his allegations against ABS-CBN

  • Jimmy Bondoc explained some of the points he raised in his post
  • He claimed he is ready to go to court for his accusations against ABS-CBN
  • The singer-songwriter said he is not out for publicity

After his lengthy post about wanting to see the biggest network close down (which later said was ABS-CBN), Jimmy Bondoc decided to clarify what he said.

The Vice president for Corporate Social Responsibility Group of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) was interviewed on ‘Showbiz Talk Ganern’ of DZRH last Monday, May 27.

Bondoc stated people reacted to his posts because his allegations were true.

Bondoc said that all of these issues are caused by unchecked power.

It is just really a very simple concept. It is unchecked power.“

Bondoc also explained what he meant by unchecked power.

The singer-songwriter believes that people easily believe whatever the network says.

Bondoc also clarified his statements on shutting down the network which would cost thousands of people their jobs and left it up for people to decide if he was the type of person who would rejoice at people becoming unemployed.

Bondoc said he is ready to face anyone in court even though he doesn’t want things to be this way.

“Ayokong mag-escalate ang usapang into anything litigious. Hindi naman tayo nagkakasuhan dito, e. Pero kung doon umabot, handa naman tayo.”

On his allegations of sexual harassment, Bondoc deflected the issue by asking listeners a question,

When asked about him being seemingly ungrateful to ABS-CBN, Bondoc answered, “Ang gratitude ko sa tao, hanggang ngayon may naiisip ako na mga tao diyan, hindi na natin babanggitin, na alam ko pinaglaban nila ako kahit there were times na madaming galit sa akin diyan. I am very grateful.”

Jimmy also said he was not seeking publicity and that all he wants is to help the country.

“Hindi ko pangarap ngayong sumikat, pero gusto kong makatulong in the last years ng buhay ko dito sa daigdig to correct one social wrong kahit isa lang. Kasi puro satsat tayo, e. Kailan pa natin maku-cure ito?

“Kasi naku-cure naman sa ibang bansa, e.”
