No more JoshLia? Joshua Garcia gets a new leading lady

• Joshua Garcia is part of the new series ‘The Killer Bride’ which stars Maja Salvador
• Instead of Julia Barretto, Joshua will be supposedly paired up with Janella Salvador in the upcoming series
• There are rumors that JoshLia—Joshua and Julia’s tandem—is no more

Joshua Garcia is part of the cast of the upcoming series ‘The Killer Bride’ to be top-billed by Maja Salvador. The cast will also include Janella Salvador and Geoff Eigenmann.

The upcoming series will be the teleserye comeback of Maja after her 2017 hit drama series, ‘Wildflower.’

However, Joshua will not be working with his love team partner, Julia Barretto, in ‘The Killer Bride.’

The JoshLia tandem has been plagued with breakup rumors which stemmed from Julia’s kissing scene with co-star Gerald Anderson in the Star Cinema movie ‘Between Maybes.’

Since then, their relationship has reportedly become strained which dismayed their fans.

With the photos of the cast on social media, netizens assumed that Joshua and Janella will be paired up for the upcoming series.

This is not the first time Joshua and Janella were supposed to work together. The two were supposed to work on three projects in the past: the teleseryes ‘Born For You’ and ‘The Good Son,’ and the movie ‘Vince and Kath and James.’

In 2016, Joshua was supposed to be part of ‘Born For You’ as the third wheel to Janella and Elmo Magalona. However, he was pulled out of the project to do the afternoon series ‘The Greatest Love.’

In the same year, Janella was supposed to play Kath in the movie ‘Vince and Kath and James,’ but she had to turn down the project to do a movie with Regal Films to fulfill her contract. She was replaced by Julia instead.

In 2017, Janella and Elmo were supposed to work with Joshua in the series ‘The Good Son.’ However, Janella and Elmo were both pulled out of the show.
