Raymond Oliver Cruz Ilustre, better known by his screen name Rayver Cruz, is a relatively new Kapuso having been a Kapamilya actor for several years. He is the brother of fellow actor and dancer Rodjun Cruz.
He started his career as a host together with Rodjun on a children’s magazine show ‘5 And Up’ on TV5.
He later moved to GMA Network in 1995 to be part of the comedy show ‘Kiss Muna’ and a performer on the late German Moreno’s show ‘Best Friends.’
In 2004, he moved to ABS-CBN and became a talent of Star Magic. He got his first lead role in the primetime TV series ‘Spirits’ as ‘Red’ in 2005 with actress Maja Salvador.
Then, he played another lead role as ‘Mythos’ in the primetime show ‘Rounin’ in 2007.
On June 14, 2018, he left Star Magic, but he remained with ABS-CBN to star as ‘Kidlat’ in fantasy series ‘Bagani,’ making it his final project as a Kapamilya.
After 18 years, Rayver finally returned to GMA Network as he signed a contract on September 6, 2018.
Rayver seems to be content after his network transfer as he continues to receive more projects at GMA Network.

His first teleserye at the network was ‘Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko’ with leading lady Kris Bernal. The show premiered on October 22, 2018 and ended on March 2, 2019.
On May 28, a story conference was held for his upcoming series tentatively titled ‘The Haunted Wife’ to be directed by Jorron Monroy.

Rayver is set to work with Miss World 2013 Megan Young,Kris Bernal, and Kim Domingo.

Boots Anson-Roa, Francine Prieto, and Sharmaine Arnaiz are also part of the cast.
Rayver is also looking forward to working with Janine Gutierrez in the future. The two have been rumored to be dating but haven’t confirmed anything about the status of their relationship.
