James Reid rose to fame after emerging as the Big Winner of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010. He joined Viva Artists Agency in 2012 after his contract with Star Magic expired.
It was in 2014 when his movie with Nadine Lustre titled Diary Ng Panget which became a box office hit despite the lack of support from a major network. His tandem with Nadine known as JaDine officially joined ABS-CBN as exclusive talents in 2014.
Their very first teleserye On The Wings Of Love became a hit. It also ended with a concert at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum where the two officially announced that they were in a relationship.
Earlier this year, James dropped out of Pedro Penduko due to his spinal injury. Spellbound, an adaptation of a Korean movie with Nadine, was also put on hold.
James was last seen in ABS-CBN’s Idol Philippines as one of the judges.
There’s still no official statement yet from Viva Artists Agency regarding James but according to news, James and Viva are okay and this is a mutual decision. James’ career will be handled by his father Robert Malcolm Reid.
