Anne Curtis and Marco Gumabao’s sexy romance drama Just A Stranger has grossed Php 100 million as of September 2, 2019. According to the film’s director, Jason Paul Laxamana, the movie achieved this feat after screening for two weeks in Philippine cinemas.
The movie opened with PhP 12.5 million on August 21 and hit Php 52 million in 5 days.
Shot in scenic Lisbon, Portugal, Marco Gumabao plays Jericho, the love interest of Mae (Anne Curtis), a married woman. In the film, he and Mae had a steamy secret affair. Edu Manzano played Anne’s husband in Just a Stranger. It turns out that the actor is the best friend of Marco’s uncle, which is why they have known each other for years.

On Instagram, Anne shared how her character feels after their movie hit Php 100 million. She wrote, “How Mae feels about Just A Stranger hitting 100M 🥳. R-16 but we made it 😱!”
