GMA Network’s ‘Onanay’ hits the Dominican Republic as the 2nd most-watched afternoon program

Fans of Onanay in the Dominican Republic praised the GMA drama TV series for its unpredictable plot as well as the way it depicts the lives and struggles of people with dwarfism.

Through a partnership between GMA Worldwide, Inc. (GWI) and Latin Media Corp. (LMC), the TV series Onanay has become the second most-watched program in the afternoon by Color Vision, one of the well-known and largest networks in the Dominican Republic.

GMA’s Onanay was translated to El Amor Mas Grande for its Spanish-dubbed version. El Amor Mas Grande has garnered an average audience share of 12.48% in just 13 days since it was launched in the Dominican Republic last October 7, 2019.

The series was directed by the veteran actress Gina Alajar and Joel Lamangan. The Way To Your Heart Onanay depicts the story of a mom with achondroplastic dwarfism who longs for the love and acceptance of her daughter.

She also struggles with difficult situations as her dwarfism has been the reason why people discriminate against her.
