At the press conference of Two Love You, Kid Yambao said that he’s open to having a relationship no matter what the gender of the person is. For him, love knows no bounds and no gender and he will accept the person’s sexuality.
“Oo naman po, kasi hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin ng tapos kasi parang ‘di natin alam mangyari sa future kung kanino ba talaga ako babagsak, sa lalaki ba o sa babae diba? ‘Di po natin alam, malay niyo po sa straight pa e.”
As a member of Hashtags, Kid also confessed that he’s okay with having gay admirers. However, he’s uncomfortable receiving indecent proposals, with some even offering him a house and lot.
“Nasa trabaho din kasi ung mapansin ng mga ganon eh. Pero minsan parang nakaka ano lang na hala, ung mga nagcha-chat ng indecent. Bahay lupa eh, kaso ‘di ako eh, mahirap. Dugo’t pawis ko po ang kailangan ko po. Kumbaga, gusto ko po ung pinagtra-trabuhan ko.”
Kid stated that if ever he’ll fall in love, it should be because of love and not money.
“Siguro kung papatol ako sa ganon, pero hindi naman siguro dahil hangad ko magkaron ng magagarang gamit, bahay, hindi naman po ‘eh. Siguro about love pa rin, mamahalin kita kung sino ka. Siguro nga kahit simpleng gay, simpleng lalaki, pwede.”
Kid on Cougar love
Kid is also open to having a relationship with an older woman.
“Gusto ko kasi mas nakakatanda rin kasi, 10 years gap, okay, pasok. Hindi naman cougar love actually, siguro sa lahi po naming kasi pati tito ko, erpats ko, lolo ko ganun eh. Puro mas matatanda po mga babae sa amin.”
Kid Yambao is one of the main cast members of Yen Santos’s comeback movie Two Love You with Lassy Marquez. The film is produced by OgieD and Lonewolf Film productions and directed by Benedict Mique. Two Love You will be released in cinemas nationwide on November 13, 2019.
