‘Wait Lang… Is This Love?’ seems to be the last series for the award-winning romance anthology of Wagas, starring real-life couple Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto, which lasted for about four weeks until November 15, 2019.

The final episode presented a story about an estranged couple, portrayed by Yayo Aguila as Gloria and PJ Abellana as Rex, getting back together years after parting ways. Meanwhile, Barbie Forteza known as Mayumi goes to New York through a scholarship grant by Chef Rosemary Bay (Ana Roces). She also started planning for her wedding with Eugene (Jak Roberto).

‘Wagas’ in six consecutive years

The episodic drama anthology was originally aired on GMA News TV in February 2013, but due to the public demand, it was transferred to GMA Network and re-launched on September 2, 2019. The pilot episode for the relaunched series was led by Sunshine Dizon and Mike Tan in the story of a couple who have lost their only daughter due to tragedy. After parting ways, Sunshine became a successful dress shop owner and Mike became an Engineer. They later discovered that Smile, their only daughter, is alive.

Final rating against the rival program

Wagas’ final episode registered a 7.7% TV rating based on Kantar Media which is 10.4 points lower to its rival show in ABS-CBN Korean drama series I Have a Lover with 18.1%.
