At the presscon for the Metro Manila Film Festival entry The Mall The Merrier, Vice Ganda answered some questions about his relationship with Ion Perez who is also part of the cast.
For the past few months, Vice and Ion have been more open about their relationship. They have even gotten close to each other’s families.
Vice said, “Mahal siya ng pamilya ko and I can feel mahal na mahal din ako ng pamilya niya kaya ang saya-saya. Friends ang mga nanay namin, nagchichikahan. Okay kami ng mga kapatid niya.”
Vice and Ion were also asked about a possible marriage in their future. Upon hearing the question, the comedian replied playfully, “Na-shock naman ako, nakaka-babae naman talaga ang mga tanong n’yo sa akin ‘no? Alam n’yo habang nagtatanong kayo, sinasalat ko kung may keps talaga ako. Feeling n’yo ba, babae ako? Babae ba talaga ako? Nakaka-babae. ’Yung sa kasal-kasal naman, nakakaloka.”
Vice then turned to Ion and asked him. “Do you like ba? Kasi siyempre ang saya ni girl, ang saya ko raw, hahaha! Pero sa kultura natin sa Pilipinas, parang hindi naman okay na ang babae ang magsasabi no’n. ‘Yung concrete plans, wala pa talaga, pero we started to talk about it. Basta for now we’re just enjoying the relationship and everything, kasi lahat beautiful and peaceful.”
When Ion was asked to react to this, Vice quickly quipped: “Oh my God, please don’t propose, I’m not ready yet.”
On the other hand, Ion hinted he was open to the possibility.
“Hindi po ako nagsasabi ng tapos, pero malay n’yo mangyari ‘yun.”
The relationship status of ‘t’s Showtime‘ hosts Vice and Ion has been the subject of speculation since early this year. The two have been showy with their sweetness towards each other during the ‘Kaparewho’ segment of ‘It’s Showtime.’
After months of speculation, Vice finally admitted his relationship with Ion during the It’s Showtime 10thAnniversary Magpasikat challenge. He confessed that he had found the love he’s been looking for for so many years.

Ion first met Vice in October 2017 during a Gandang Gabi Vice taping. In that episode, Carlo Mendoza—or more popularly known as “gigil kid”—was Vice’s co-host. Carlo called out Ion who was later introduced to Vice.
The Mall, The Merrier is one of the official entries for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) which begins on December 25. Other stars in the movie include Anne Curtis, Dimples Romana, Mark McMahon, Jameson Blake, Tony Labrusca, Brendamage, Chad Kinis, and Ate Girl Jacky Gonzaga.
