Starstruck 6 First Prince Elyson De Dios transferred to ABS-CBN and luckily got the role of Fonzy for Tabing Ilog The Musical as his first project as the newest Kapamilya actor.
Baron Geisler portrayed Fonzy in the original TV series Tabing Ilog which aired from 1999 until 2003.
In an interview, Elyson revealed that it was not hard for him to play the character of Fonzy as he’s a jolly person. Though he cannot spill further details about the upcoming Tabing Ilog The Musical, Elyson stated that without his character in the show, it would be absolutely boring.
Elyson said: “Si Fonzy gagampanan ko, actually it’s not hard for me because I’m a jolly person naman kasi. I can’t reveal the whole spill but maging boring ‘pag wala si Fonzy po.”
Elyson also revealed that he had a guest appearance on Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s comeback TV series Make It With You.
“Actually, I’ve done guestings sa Make It With You po and MMK.”
Elyson shared that he admires Kathryn Bernardo and hopes to have at least a third-wheel role in KathNiel’s movie projects in the near future.
Elyson revealed: “Crush ko talaga si Kathryn Bernardo, and I hope so pumunta siya para panoorin ‘yung at ako.”
Elyson and his humble beginnings
After he won as the “First Prince” in Starstruck Season 6, Elyson was also part of GMA’s drama anthology Karelasyon in 2017 as Benjo in the Tukso episode. Other projects of Elyson during his time in GMA Network are as follows:
