As he remains critical about the franchise renewal issue of the Kapamilya Network, Robin Padilla continued his tirades against ABS-CBN and dragged FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead actor and director Coco Martin into the issue.
The 50-year old action star exposed about Coco’s alleged rude attitude towards his crews.
It began when a commenter told Padilla to imitate Martin who has helped many people by providing them acting jobs instead of badmouthing the media company that helped revive his career. The actor responded to the commenter and exposed Martin’s supposed rude attitude towards his crew members on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The former Pilipinas Got Talent judge said, “Napakarami ko pong pelikula na nagawa ko na nagkataon lang na wala akong ganang mag pelikula dahil sa nangyayari sa likod ng camera matagal na pong practice yan natutunan lang po yan ni direk Coco sa mga naunang action stars siguro po mainam sabihin niyo po kay direk Coco na ‘wag bubuhusan ng tubig ‘yung mga crew na nakakatulog sa pagod at pagpatol sa location manager na babae. Si John Lloyd (Cruz) po ay isa sa mga artista ng abscbn na katulad ko ayaw na gumawa.
“Ang pagsasabi ng totoo ay hindi sama ng loob ang katotohanan ay masakit pero ito ay nagsisilbing panggising sa mga tulog. Peace be with you,” he went on.
In 2018, Martin was allegedly accused of maltreating some of his crews and talents by splashing water on them while they slept. However, co-workers clarified that this was a prank they often played whenever taping had to be packed up.
Published at People’s Journal, according to an ABS-CBN Insider, Padilla has an “ax to grind” with Martin due to the fact that the latter is now recognized by many as the modern-day action star.
“May ax to grind kasi siya kay Coco dahil natabunan ng Probinsyano ni Coco ang pagiging action star niya. Antawag nga nila diyan, si Pandak.”
Just a few days ago, Padilla aired his (unsolicited) opinion about the possible shutdown of ABS-CBN. He criticized the network for unfair management and treatment of its employees and talents.
Aside from this, he called out other celebrities like Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, and Coco Martin, who openly showed their support for ABS-CBN, and challenged them to expose their bankbooks to the public.
His action backfired as many netizens slammed the actor for causing a big scene online and for attacking the network that helped revive his career.

Netizens could not help but view Padilla as an ingrate who couldn’t seem to remember that he himself benefitted from the network. Aside from that, his wife Mariel Rodriguez, his nephew Daniel Padilla, his brother Rommel Padilla, and his son-in-law Aljur Abrenica also work for ABS-CBN.
