  • Ara Mina chooses both ABS-CBN and GMA because the two networks have been part of her career.
  • Ara is now working with Coco Martin on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

In an interview with (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the birthday celebration of Anna Pingol on February 25 at 38 Valencia Events Place, Quezon City. Ara Mina said that everybody would be saddened if ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal would not be granted because thousands of people would lose their jobs.

“Well, siyempre lahat naman tayo, nakaka-sad naman kung magsasara ang ABS.

“Kasi, ang daming nabibigyan ng trabaho.

“Pero lahat naman nadadaan sa tamang proseso, and siyempre hindi ko naman alam ang puno’t dulo, so magdasal na lang tayo kung ano, sana maayos ang lahat.”

Ara Mina started her career with GMA doing her first TV show That’s Entertainment.

“Sa GMA, and then after That’s Entertainment, napunta ako sa… paganun-ganun kasi ako e.”

Her longest stay on GMA network was when she became a part of Bubble Gang for ten long years. But before she joined Bubble Gang, she had been doing projects at ABS-CBN.

“Yes, ten years! Pero bago ako mag-Bubble Gang, galing akong ABS, nag-ano ako e, ‘Sang Linggo nAPO Sila.

“Tapos, nagkaroon ako ng Sabado Live, and yung first album ko is with Star Records.”

As to which network she prefers, she said she loves both as her career grew on both channels.

“Mahal ko parehas ang network, kasi naging part talaga ng career ko ang ABS tsaka GMA.

“Hindi ako makakarating sa estado ko kung hindi dahil sa GMA at ABS.”

In 2008, she had worked with Coco Martin as his sister in Ligaw na Bulaklak

Currently, Ara is now working with Coco Martin in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

But Ara clarifies that her contract is not exclusive to ABS-CBN.
