Following the demise of his mother, John Regala is appealing to Coco Martin, to ABS-CBN, and to GMA Network to provide him with an acting project.
According to the article published by Abante Tonite, the Manila Kingpin star is experiencing a health issue based on his physical appearance. Aside from this, the actor allegedly finds it difficult to talk when he was interviewed during the wake of his mother, the late Ruby Regala.
Ruby Regala was a famous sexy actress during her time.
According to John, Ruby had been diagnosed with a brain tumor which resulted in her unexpected demise at the age of 72 on January 11, 2020, at 6:45 am in a hospital somewhere in Washington DC.
With the help of the members of Iglesia ni Cristo and the Department of Foreign Affairs, they were able to bring her body back to the Philippines.
The actor, who is known for his antagonist roles, is now asking GMA Network and ABS-CBN, especially to Coco Martin, to help him by providing him acting projects.
The 54-year old actor couldn’t contain his emotion as he cried in the middle of the interview.
John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer better known for his screen name as “John Regala” rose to prominence for his antagonist roles in several films and TV shows. He was the son of the late Mel Francisco and Ruby Regala who were both showbiz artists.
He appeared on various films and teleseryes mostly taking the ‘kontrabida’ roles which made him one of the “Bad Boys” of Philippine cinema along Robin Padilla, Jeric Raval, and the late Ace Vergel.
He won as Best Supporting Actor during the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2011 for his excellent performance in Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.
Aside from being an actor, John is an environmentalist and Christian minister.
