- KarJon felt nervous about working on heir projects but they are both willing to learn for the sake of their success as a loveteam
- They are thankful for the good careers they have now
Former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemates Karina Bautista and Aljon Mendoza are now working as a love team. The teen stars are now ready to work on their upcoming projects for 2020.
“We’re very thankful po sa lahat nang ngayayari sa amin and as for the love team, it’s doing good naman,” Karina said.
“May dapat pa kayong abangan pa. So, ayun it’s very good naman,” she added.
The love team confirmed that they are now working on an iWant series called Ampalaya Chronicles. While they feel nervous about their first project, both are willing to learn to make the project successful.
“Oo, siyempre naman. At first, pero siguro in the way, in the process we will discover naman,” she said
“Hindi naman po mawawala yung pressure, yung kaba. So right now lang ang gusto lang namin ay paghandaan ang series na yun para maganda yung kalabasan,” Aljon added.
Working comfortably together wasn’t a problem for them because of the friendship they had when they were still inside the PBB house.
“Ito yung through the process lang naman po nangyari. Hindi naman po namin pinagplanuhan kung paano hindi maging awkward at maging komportable sa isa’t isa. Siguro nangyayari lang po dahil lagi naman po kaming magkasama,” he said.
“Yung friendship naman po namin. Di ba po as in friends naman po kami sa loob ng bahay, so as nung paglabas namin friends pa din. So wala naman ilangan,” Karina said.
After PBB, both admitted that there were some changes in their lives, lifestyles, and even their personalities.
“Yes, yung buhay namin, yung takbo ng buhay namin, yung lifestyle namin, halos lahat,” she said
“Kami personally, yung paano kami magsalita, humarap sa mga tao, malaki yung growth sa ngayon” he said.
Among the love teams in showbiz, they have chosen Kathniel and Lizquien as their inspirations.
“Siguro inspiration, Kathniel, sobrang bow down ako. Kasi sobrang bilib ako sa acting nila. Gusto kong mahusay din sa acting.” he said.
“Ako ahhh…Kathniel, Lizqiuen. Kasi yung Lizquen naman kasi sobrang genuine kasi. Sobrang cute lang nila together,” Karina said.
As for now, they don’t agree that they must be real-life partners to work as a love team. Aljon only needs a good relationship, communication, and a willingness to work together. For Karina, it is a choice but not necessary.
“No, para sa akin as long as good yung relationship, communication nyo and willing kayong magwork together, hindi naman kailangan maging real kayo basta solid yung samahan nyo,” he said.
“its a choice naman kasi it’s not a need but you know if it’s the want of the actors then yun..let’s see,” she said.
Aljon and Karina had already worked together on one of the Kapamilya’s afternoon teleserye “Sandugo” and appeared on the different ABS-CBN TV shows.
At the end of the interview, they thanked their fans as they were very grateful for the support they have received.
“We’re very thankful po sa lahat ng fans namin, we are very grateful as always and of course we will do our part, we will give our best, our hundred percent,” Karina said.
“We love you very much, sobrang important nyo sa amin,” he said.
