- Lorna Tolentino is positive that they will reconcile later on

Lorna Tolentino expressed her thoughts on the ongoing rift between her nephew Robin Padilla and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano co-actor Coco Martin.
After Coco showed his support for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, Robin attacked him for his alleged rude attitude towards his FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano crew members.
It was in 2018 when Coco was accused of maltreating some of his crew members by splashing water on them while they slept.
Lorna was asked to give her opinion on her nephew’s (Robin is related to Lorna’s late husband Rudy Fernandez) and her co-worker’s current situation.
Though she has not yet opened up a conversation with Robin about the issue, the actress believed that, “Para sa akin,kung kapwa mo artista dapat din proteksyunan mo,dapat mahalin mo rin.Kasi kung ano man yung mali o hindi maganda sa artista na yun, lalabas talaga,hindi mo matatago.
She also agreed with a reporter who said that an artist’s bad behavior should not be exposed from his or her fellow artist as it will be revealed eventually.
Lorna responded, “Tama,huwag na nga sa kapwa mo artista mo manggaling.”
She also reacted to claims that Coco’s alleged splashing of water on his crews is just a prank.
“Hindi ko rin naabutan yan.Tapos si ate Susan Roces sabi niya wala naman,ang hirap,” she said.
However, Lorna explained that water spraying actors during a taping is a common practice in the past until now.
If ever the rumors are true, Lorna believes there’s nothing wrong about Coco’s splashing water on crew members as a prank since no one was hurt.
“Basta hindi nakakasakit. Basta hindi nasaktan yung tao, okay lang.P ero kung nasaktan iba na yun.”
Lorna said she was not aware of any maltreatments on the set of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano due to their busyness at work.
Despite this, the actress is positive about Coco and Robin’s reconciliation in the future.
“Ang ending naman niyan sabi nga peacemaker diba.Kailangan maging peacemaker ka rin.Lahat naman ng nag-aaway na artista sa showbiz later on,nagkakabati kasi iisa lang ang linya ng trabaho.So magkakaintindihan din yan.Sa ngayon siguro di pa sila nagkakausap pero magkakaintindihan din sila eventually.”
She also hopes that a “peacemaker” would help resolve the rift.
“Sana merong tao na pwedeng pumagitna sa kanila para maging bukas yung isip nila at magkaintindihan” she said.
In an article published by People’s Journal, Robin reportedly has an “ax to grind” with Coco due to the fact that the latter is now recognized by many as the modern-day action star according to an ABS-CBN Insider.
Robin also aired his (unsolicited) opinion about the possible shutdown of ABS-CBN. He criticized the network for unfair management and treatment of its employees and talents.
Aside from this, he called out other celebrities like Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, and Coco, who openly showed their support for ABS-CBN, and challenged them to expose their bankbooks to the public.
