After going on hiatus from showbiz since 2017, model-actress Ellen Adarna will not be coming back to the limelight anytime soon as she will focus the next seven years of her life taking care of her son, Elias.
The 32-year-old actress became a first-time mother during her sabbatical from showbiz along with the rumors that she was dating her co-star John Lloyd Cruz who also took a hiatus. She gave birth to her son, Elias, in 2018.
For the very first time since her break from showbiz, Adarna opened up about her son.
In an interview with RX93.1 over the weekend, Adarna admitted that she has no plans of returning to showbiz anytime soon as she will focus on being a full-time mom to her son, but she’s not closing her doors on the showbiz industry.
She said, “No, no. I don’t want to say, like, forever, right? But definitely, not in the next seven years. I want to be with my son in his formative years. I’m a very hands-on mom,” she added.
Recently, Adarna revealed that she suffered from depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder In the last three years. To deal with her mental health issues, she underwent mental training and counseling. Now, she has already recovered.
Part of her daily routine is meditating for 30 minutes in the morning which she picked up from mental training in Bali which she revealed helped her recover from depression.
Apart from it, Adarna noted that “me time” is very important to become a “happy individual.”
The interview, however, did not tackle Adarna’s relationship with Cruz amid the reports that the two have split up. The actress has been recently linked to another man but neither between them has confirmed their separation.
The former “Home Sweetie Home” co-stars started their romantic relationship in 2017, the same year both of them took a break from showbiz to focus on Adarna’s pregnancy.
In 2019, Cruz returned to the limelight along with the rumors that he and Adarna have broken up. None of them has addressed the issue until now that the sexy model is being linked with a different man as shown in her Instagram photos which she shared last January.
