When a netizen provoked veteran comedian Ethel Booba to give the earnings from her Charotism book to the admin of her parody account who actually created the content, Ethel seemingly snapped and surprisingly agreed.
Ethel confronted the netizen: “Pakilala mo sa akin dali di ako madamot baka kilala mo, ako mismo mag aabot sa kanya.”

On a serious note, she also admitted that she’s trying to correct her mistakes and apologized to the people who were disappointed by her disowning the account.
Ethel was labeled an opportunist by many for taking advantage of the wit and intelligence of parody’s account admin which led her to guest appearances on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho and It’s Showtime stint and several gigs being offered to her.
She said: “Tao lang ako nagkakamali. Inaayos ko lang ang pagkakamaling ginawa ko kung may na disappoint sorry sa kanila. Pero at least nagsasabi ako ng totoo. Di ko kailangan ng kasikatan kung pagkatao ko naman ang niyuyurakan. O di ba I’m free. Happy na teh.”

A few days ago, Ethel used her YouTube vlog to disown the Twitter account with username IamEthylGabison.
According to Ethel, she only “owned” the parody account as her management as well as her fans loved it during the peak of its fame. Not until she read the “hateful” posts of the parody account did she decide to reveal that she doesn’t even know who the admin is.
