Phenomenal Box-Office Queen Kathryn Bernardo is one of the people who want a #MarJo Marvin Agustin-Jolina Magdangal comeback as a love team.
On the sidelines of the PayMaya’s “BalikBayad” Campaign, “Teen Royalties” Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla shared with their fans the things they want to come back or “balikan.”
Among the things that the KathNiel loveteam wants to bring back is the ’90s #MarJo loveteam of Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal.
Bernardo said, “Jolina and Marvin.”
She admitted that she really wants to work with the MarJo tandem and is looking forward to the possibility of having a project with them.

The MarJo tandem is one of the famous love teams back in the ’90s. Marvin and Jolina’s love team is known for their 1998 box-office hit and Filipino classic film, “Labs Kita…Okey Ka Lang?” where they played best friends, Ned and Bujoy.
It was the same movie that produced the immortal line of Bujoy, Magdangal’s character, “Oh yes! Kaibigan mo lang ako… and I’m so stupid to make the biggest mistake of falling in love with my best friend.”
They first worked together in the 1997 movie, F.L.A.M.E.S. and from then on, their tandem produced successful films and television projects that made them the “most admired, most followed, and most loved team of their generation.”
They also starred in Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo! alongside veteran actress Maricel Soriano and actor William Martinez.
Meanwhile, last January, ABS-CBN unveiled the list of upcoming movies and teleseryes for this year including the newest television series project of the KathNiel tandem with the working title, Tanging Mahal.
However, due to the on-going COVID-19 outbreak in the country, Bernardo and Padilla’s much-awaited TV comeback is put on-hold as the network decided to cancel tapings and programmings in response to the government’s effort of flattening the curve and containing the spread of the viral disease.
KathNiel loveteam is known for their phenomenal stint in the box-office hit film The Hows Of Us which was the highest-grossing Filipino Film in 2018.
They co-starred in several hit series like Princess and I (2012), Got to Believe (2013), Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2015), and La Luna Sangre (2017).
Padilla and Bernardo also headlined several big-screen projects in which most earned box-office success internationally such as Must Be… Love (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), Can’t Help Falling in Love (2017), and their highest-grossing film to date, The Hows of Us (2018).
Staging two phenomenal loveteams from different generations in one TV or movie project will undoubtedly become a hit, as viewers of all ages can surely relate.
