In her latest vlog, Kapamilya star and YouTube sensation Ivana Alawi finally addressed the speculations that she earns “a million per day” with her video blogs.
Alawi is among the local celebrities with millions of subscribers on the video-sharing platform that’s why most people think that she makes millions with her videos that trend without her even trying.
On Tuesday, April 21, the sexy actress posted a video blog where she did the ‘Mukbang’ challenge with her younger sister, child star Mona Louise Rey, and answered some questions from her followers including one that asked her “Magkano ang sweldo mo sa YouTube?”
To which Alawi answered, “Hindi ako magbibigay ng specific na amount kasi may mga videos na lumalabas na pwede kang kumita ng 5-6 digits per video, hindi totoo guys.”
“May lumabas kasi na video na parang ‘Ay si Ivana kumita siya ng 1 million pesos dahil sa 5 million views niya,’ hindi totoo yun,” she added.
Her younger sister Mona, also explained that there are several factors to consider to earn money on YouTube.
“Hindi naman totoo yung sinasabi nila na every 1 million views kikita ka ng this amount. Hindi siya ganun. Per ad siya, per view, kung gaano katagal pinapanood ng tao, alin yung ad, kung magcli-click sila,” said Mona.
She also pointed out that vlogging takes a lot of patience discouraging those who just want to make money by saying, “Patience rin kasi sa YouTube kaya kapag sumali ka sa pera, I don’t know, I think huwag na lang.”
Not mentioning the exact amount she really earns, Alawi gave a hint on how much money she makes as a YouTuber.
“Ang kinikita ko lang is 6 digits. Hindi siya totoo na parang kumikita ka ng 1 million per day. Pangalawa hindi ako sumali sa YouTube dahil sa kita,” she said.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old actress revealed that she has not spent even a single centavo from the money she earned from YouTube because “pambili ko yun ng bahay ni mama.”
Meanwhile, Alawi has reached a new milestone as she accumulated more than 6 million subscribers in her YouTube channel in just a span of seven months since she started. Her most viewed vlog is still “A Day in My Life” with more than 20 million views since it was posted.

Meanwhile, Ivana’s biggest TV role to date is waiting for her once quarantine is lifeted. She is set to headline the upcoming sexy-drama TV series ‘Ligaya‘ alongside Kapamilya hunk actor Kit Thompson.
