It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez just celebrated their 19th monthsary as a couple.
Ion posted a sweet, simple message on his Twitter account to greet the love of his life “Happy 19th Monthsary”.

Ion and Vice first met in May 2018 when he and two other male beauty titlists of Mr. Universe Tourism 2018 watched the late-talk show Gandang Gabi Vice! (GGV) which hosted by Vice.
Since they were seated in the front row, “Gigil Kid” Carlo Mendoza picked Ion to sit in between them on the stage.
“Pogi ba? In fairness, ha! Marunong umi-spot ito, ha!” said Vice of his kiddie co-host.
Ion was also asked to dance while Carlo sang “Pusong Bato” and after that Ion and Vice shared a quick hug and went back to his seat.
On September 19, 2018, Ion was officially launched as Kuya Escort on ABS-CBN noontime show It’s Showtime where Vice is one of the main hosts.
Vice asked him some personal information such as age, address, and relationship status. Ion also answers him saying that he’s 27 years old, lives in Tivoli Garden in Mandaluyong, and had no girlfriend. Vice joked that would make a perfect pair.
Because of his onscreen flirtation with Vice, he became a regular Kuya Escort and got longer TV exposure.
In November 2018, Ion’s mom came to the studio to watch the live telecast of It’s Showtime as he celebrated his 28th birthday. It was the moment that Ion introduced his mom to Vice personally.

In the episode that was aired on March 31, Ion admitted that he considers Vice as someone “special”.
Vice also got a chance to introduce his mom and sisters to Ion who came to watch him live that day.
“Ay, nandiyan yung kapatid ko, dalawa, tsaka yung nanay ko. May gusto ka ba sabihin sa kanila?” Vice said.
This prompted him to say: “Ate, Nanay… Humihingi po ako ng permiso. Puwede ba ako sa puso niya?”
Then finally, on October 26, 2019, during the 10th anniversary of It’s Showtime and the last day of Magpasikat, Vice officially declared that Ion is his boyfriend.
“Hindi na ako nag-iisa. Meron na akong katuwang sa buhay. And I am so happy,” he said in his speech.
