Social media personality Joel Mondina, popularly known as Pambansang Kolokoy, surprised many of his followers after revealing that he is currently battling cancer and has begun his second cycle of chemotherapy.
Mondina shared the update through a Facebook post showing him lying on a hospital bed with an intravenous (IV) line attached to his hand. In the caption, he briefly addressed his condition and ongoing treatment.
“Here we go! Second cycle of chemotherapy #fckcancer,” he wrote.
The content creator did not disclose the specific type of cancer he is dealing with, but the post quickly drew an outpouring of support, prayers, and well-wishes from fans, fellow creators, and friends.

Comedian Eric Nicolas also sent his message of encouragement, saying, “Pagaling ka bro.”
This is not the first time Mondina has hinted at his health struggle. On November 20, he previously shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed alongside his children, captioned simply, “Strengths.”
