Former ANC boss Jing Magsaysay supports ABS-CBN with his message to those who plan taking over the ABS-CBN frequency

Carbonell said that months ago, the deal to deny the ABS-CBN was already done and the government has no plans of renewing it because it will be replaced by another media giant.

Former ANC boss Jing Magsaysay has a message to those who plan to take over the ABS-CBN frequency.

In a Facebook post of Kapamilya Kingdom, Magsaysay said there are rumors spreading that a religious/political group had a hand in the disapproval of the ABS-CBN franchise because they want to own the frequency of the network.

“There’s word going around that a religious/political group had a hand in the non-renewal of the franchise and wants the franchise for themselves.

But for him, ABS-CBN does not have their audiences because of the frequency but rather in the creation of content. He even said that those who wanted to accomplish what the ABS-CBN had done must have to work very hard.

“A frequency is just a frequency. Content creation is a whole different ball game. Plus, I hope they realize that the audience does not come with the frequency. You’re going to have to work blood, sweat, and tears to build what ABS-CBN accomplished over 34 years plus the years before Marcos stole the channel.”

Showing his support to ABS-CBN network he said: “You can get the franchise but you will never be ABS-CBN.”

Rumors about a group interested in ABS-CBN’s frequency started when a video of a journalist Waldy Carbonell claiming that he was offered a position for a TV network that will replace ABS-CBN went viral.

Carbonell said that months ago, the deal to deny the ABS-CBN was already done and the government has no plans of renewing it because it will be replaced by another media giant.

“Kako’y sinong grupo yan?

He also revealed that he was offered a 7-digit salary with one of the requirements is to be an ally of Malacanang.

Carbonell narrated.
