Nikki Valdez faced off with some netizens who identified themselves as Sarah Geronimo’s fans. At first, Nikki calmly responded to their accusations but things later escalated.
On July 20, Nikki tweeted to cheer on fellow actors defending ABS-CBN. They include Angel Locsin, Jake Cuenca, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla.
As predicted, some in favor of the closure of ABS-CBN attacked Nikki. Fans of Sarah Geronimo even targeted Nikki because they mistakenly thought the actress was bashing their idol.

She even clarified that she loves Sarah and Matteo Guidicelli, she was even happy that the two got married.
“For the record, I love Sarah and Matteo! Kahit tanungin niyo pa silang dalawa. Lalo na si Matteo. Isa ako sa tuwang tuwa nung nalaman kong ikakasal na sila.”
The actress then remind fans that it’s okay to defend their idols but not when they attack other artists.
“Sa mga fans, tama na ipaglaban sila pero huwag kayong nag aattack basta basta ng ibang artists and staff ng ABS-CBN.”

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo has been criticized for remaining quiet on ABS-CBN’s franchise issues. While many know that she isn’t really active on social media, some mistook this for her not caring about the issue.
Sarah finally broke her silence on June 19 when she posted a lengthy update on her Instagram page. An image of a lit candle with Bible verses from John 3:15-16 and Proverbs 31:8-9 was taken together in her message.
“Hindi ko man po alam ang buong detalye kung bakit [‘di] na muli nabigyan ng prankisa ang ABS-CBN… hindi ko man po naiintindihan lahat pero gusto ko po iparating ang aking pagsaludo sa mga haligi ng ABS-CBN para sa kanilang paglaban ng disente at mapagkumbaba sa harap ng ating mga lawmakers.”
