On Sunday, June 6, 2020, Lolit Solis, talk show host and entertainment news writer, posted on her Instagram account her dismay over the alleged postponement of Queen of all Media Kris Aquino’s show with TV5.
Lolit said that according to fellow showbiz reporter Cristy Fermin’s “Reliable Source”, the new show of Kris has been postponed, “Sinulat ni Cristy na according sa isa niyang reliable source baka hindi matuloy ang show ni Kris Aquino sa Chanel 5.”
Last Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Kris signed a contract under Cornerstone Entertainment, Incorporated, that ended her two-year showbiz hiatus. She had been on a break after she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria.
She posted clips of her contract signing the executives of Cornerstone management, including President Erickson Raymundo and Vice President Jeff Vadillo, on her Instagram account. With this, The former Kapamilya host also posted a short clip expressing her gratitude to her Cornerstone family for their “patience and perseverance.” However, citing also the contract’s confidentiality, Kris Aquino was unable to give details on her future projects ahead.
Supporters of the Queen of All Media were elated as the former Kapamilya Host unveiled a ‘new chapter’ for her showbiz career.
As much as everyone is excited for the comeback of Kris Aquino, Manay Lolit was saddened about the news since she saw how well-prepared Kris was for the upcoming show. The veteran journalist also hopes that there will be a way to pursue the said show and fix the cause of its postponement.
