Whether she has an ax to grind with the Duterte family or the DDS trolls hit a nerve, Megastar Sharon Cuneta released some steam through social media.
In a now-deleted post on Instagram, the 54-year-old singer-actress revealed to the public the problems that her family encountered because of the Duterte family and their supporters.
Cuneta is the wife of Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan who is labeled as a “dilawan” or a member of the opposition against the Duterte Administration. Even so, the “Pangarap na Bituin” hitmaker is pro-Duterte.
In her lengthy post, Cuneta revealed that for years, she has kept her silence and turned a blind eye when the supporters of the president criticized and disrespected her husband citing that they were affected when Duterte made a claim that she’s already separated from Sen. Pangilinan.
She wrote, (published as is): “Si Inday Sara, NIRESPETO NIYO BA AKO AT ANG ANAK KO? Noon pa binabastos niyo na ang asawa ko. Tapos ang pangulo mismo ang nag sabi na PINAPALAYAS KO ANG ASAWA KO SAMIN AT MAGRERESIGN SIYA KUNDI TOTOO. Ang laking GULAT namin noon. Dahil hindi ko pa siya nakakausap since before.”
She also revealed that she did not utter even a single word when Duterte convinced her brother Chet Cuneta to run as a mayoral candidate of Pasay City only to find out that Inday Sara endorsed the opponent of Chet, Emil Calixto-Rubiano, who is now the chief executive of Pasay City.
Apart from this, the recent issue involving her daughter Frankie Pangilinan was also brought up as she narrated how a DDS made a ‘rape’ comment, but she has received no help from the family she’s respecting.
Furthermore, the megastar stated that she’s already done with being kind to the supporters of President Duterte because they’re not hesitating to criticize her and her family.
“Ilang taon ko din silang halos hinayaang masaktan habang pinagtatanggol ko ng pilit si Tatay sa kanila. Pero SOBRA NA KAYO. AYOKO MAKASAMA ANG MGA TULAD NINYONG WALANG AWA O PUSO. ILANG BESES NA KAMI NASAKTAN. NAPAKASAMA KO NAMANG ASAWA AT INA PAG HINAYAAAN KO PA NA MAGPATULOY YUN NG ANO, NAKA SMILE LANG LAGI? HINDI KO NA KAYA.”
In the past few days, Cuneta became vocal as she expressed her grief online over the issues that made her family the target of criticisms and jokes.
She recently got involved in an argument after her daughter Frankie was threatened with rape by a DDS named Sonny Alcos.
Because of the emotional burden that the DDS trolls have inflicted on her and her family, Cuneta hoped that Vice President Leni Robredo will vie for the Presidential position in the year 2022. While she vows to give her full-support to Robredo, she sees the latter like a ray of hope that would bring back the decency among Filipinos again that was lost over time.
“Pagkatapos ng term ni Pangulong Duterte, sana talaga manalo si VP Leni kung tumakbo siya. Baka sakaling bumalik ang pagka disente ng karamihan sa atin,” she said.
