Former Hashtag member Bugoy Cariño debunked the rumors that he has a child with his girlfriend and former UST Volleyball player EJ Laure.
Back in 2018, rumors of the young actor-dancer fathering a child surfaced because of Laure’s sudden absence from UAAP Season 81 and Bugoy’s sudden absence from the all-male dance group Hashtags.
Bugoy also made cryptic posts on his Twitter account the same year regarding the rumors.
In 2019, rumors of Bugoy having a child resurfaced. This was after the suspension of former Hashtag Member Jon Lucas who got his girlfriend pregnant.
In his 2019 interview, Bugoy revealed that he is not a part of Hashtags anymore because of scheduling conflicts with his other projects.
“Meron din akong movie na ginagawa tungkol sa sayawan. Siguro kaya din po ako natanggal sa It’s Showtime eh dahil medyo naging busy din po ako sa movies. Dalawang movie po yun,” said Bugoy.
He also admitted being upset about the suspension.
“Hindi naman po sa dinamdam pero meron din pong namumuong konting sama ng loob,” Bugoy added.
Bugoy gained popularity when he won Star Circle Kid Quest, a television search for young talented kids in 2009.
He has also appeared in numerous television shows, films, and endorsed several local brands in the Philippines.
