American-born Filipino volleyball player and beauty queen Michele Gumabao spoke up against her body-shamers who kept criticizing her legs.

She has been receiving comments that her legs are “too big or too muscular”.The female personality then admitted to herself that these were true and shared that she has been fighting her insecurities with her body.

“My legs are too big they say, honestly they really are,” she captioned her bikini photo on Instagram.

Michele then said she just reminds herself that her legs played a big part in her career as a professional volleyball player.

“Instead of being insecure about it, which is a constant battle of choice, I just remind myself that these legs got me through years of intense volleyball, allowed me to jump, play and win,” she continued.

She also gave a message to those who battle against insecurities about their looks.

“If you constantly find yourself comparing who you are and how you look with others, may this remind you that self-love and confidence won’t be handed to you, it is a choice!”

Hitting back at her bashers, she ended her post with  “I say let them hate, They’ll never understand that these muscles are only made for champions.”

Michele was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2018 during the Binibining Pilipinas beauty contest.

She represented the Philippines in the Miss Globe 2018 beauty pageant in which she earned the Miss Social Media and Dream Girl awards while finishing in the top 15.

On February 14, 2020, it was confirmed that Michele will be competing in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 beauty pageant.
