Veteran host Boy Abunda has reacted to the revelations of BB Gandanghari involving Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual.
In an exclusive interview of Pep.Ph Cabinet Files, Abunda spoke about the controversy. He used the issue as a basis for context when he spoke about LGBTQ issues. The King of Talk Show also clarified that he’s not taking any side.
“I have ten points to discuss. It’s my service to the LGBTQ community. Ikonstekto natin itong usaping BB-Piolo. Ito lang, pag-isipan nila. Wala akong sinasabi na tama si BB, tama si Piolo. Hindi. Tingnan lang natin itong mga elemento na ito kasi meron din tayong partisipasyon.”
He then shifted on BB Gandanghari’s alledged ‘outing’ of Piolo Pascual, for Boy Abunda what did BB did is just narrating her own story.
“Hindi niya ginugulo si Piolo. Technically, she’s telling the story. This is not the first time that Piolo got involved in a discussion about his gender. Nagkaroon na ng libro, nagkaroon na ng interview si KC Concepcion, marami na.”
“There’s a netizen na hinamon pa ni Piolo ng suntukan. To claim that BB is outing Piolo, or Jonathan in that narrative, kasi natapilok siya dalawa o tatlong beses, is not necessarily true.”
Boy Abunda emphasized that only Piolo can express his true orientation.
“On the other end, how does Piolo identify himself? Ang sinasabi ni BB, ‘Piolo, magsalita ka kung gusto mo. Malay mo, you’re straight.'”
“Ako naman, dinadagdagan ko. Malay mo, he’s fun, romantic, he’s demisexual. Malay mo he’s bisexual. Malay mo he doesn’t subscribe to gender?”
Referring to what he said previously, despite this new issue about Piolo what thing that Boy could be sure off is Piolo won’t be affected by BB’s story, because according to Tito Boy, Piolo is a very kind person.
“But, ang alam ko lang, this is not going to affect Piolo. Worst things had happened in the past, he left for a while, he comes back with a new show, with a new song, and everybody had forgotten it.”
“You know why? Napakabuting tao kasi ni Piolo.”
BB Gandanghari, who is formerly known as Rustom Padilla, claimed that he had a romantic encounter with Piolo Pascual in the past.
