Rica Peralejo gave some advice to her niece Heaven Peralejo on the issue of her allegedly asking for financial assistance from Manny Pacquiao.
In an interview with Rica through Facebook Messenger with news and entertainment website ‘Abante’, Rica revealed that Heaven is also her godchild that’s why she is both her aunt and godmother.
“Actually, inaanak ko rin siya, kaya niece ko na siya, ninang pa niya ako,” she said.
“Mabait na bata ‘yan. Pareho sila ng Mommy niya, sweet,” she added.
When asked about her reaction towards Heaven’s financial help issue, she mentioned that she was not shocked because she was not aware of the issue at all. She said that it was the first time that she heard of it.
“Hindi ako naloka. Kasi hindi ko naman alam ang issue na ‘yan. Actually, sa’yo ko lang narinig. Hindi ko naman siya nakakausap sa mga issue,” Rica explained.
Rica mentioned that the only thing that she could advise her niece is to be honest with the public so that the issues will be corrected.
She added that having rumors about her and being judged upon is only natural as she is a public figure. But she believes that Heaven will get used to these things as she grows older.
“Hmmm, ano ba? If it affects her, she must be honest. That is something that comes with being public,” she said.
“But I think that as she gets older in this business, she will also get used to it if she isn’t yet,” she added.
Rica also mentioned that Heaven shouldn’t let the rumors about her define her character as she explained that who she is when no one is looking is really her true self.
“Sooner or later she’ll learn to just smile this off and understand that her worth and the truth are not dependent on what others say but on who she really is when no one is looking,” said Rica.
She said that if Heaven is aware of who she really is, no one could ever destroy her peace.
“That is more than enough to have peace even when some people are trying to attack her!” she said.
Heaven supposedly asked for financial assistance from boxing legend and Senator Manny Pacquiao who is the father of her ex-boyfriend, Jimuel Pacquiao.
The rumor started with showbiz columnist Lolit Solis who posted all about it on her Instagram account.

Lolit claimed that the 20-year-old actress approached Manny through a text message and his wife, Jinkee was the one who gave Heaven 100k pesos.
“Napakabait naman ni Mama Jinkee dahil binigyan niya ng 100K financial na tulong si Heaven,” said Solis.
However, Heaven Peralejo denied the rumors about her asking for financial help from the Pacquiao family thorough her Instagram Story on Monday, September 14.
She said that she earns her own money through hard and honest work.
“I didn’t ask for money. I am beyond grateful that I am blessed with opportunities to earn an honest living. Whatever I have now is a product of my hard work and not extracted from anyone’s pockets,” Heaven wrote.
Meanwhile, Lolit Solis has already expressed her apologies for spreading the fake news.

She said that Jinkee herself texted her clarifying that she did not give any money to Heaven.
“Nag text si mama Jinkee Pacquiao na hindi daw tutoo iyon balitang iyon, so tanggap ko na mali nga ang mga balita,” Solis wrote.
“Sa nagawa ko, SORRY, at ewan ko kung bakit malaking issue ang 100K na kung iisipin ay barya lang sa mga involved. So SORRY Heaven , at mommy, sana hindi maging HELL ang buhay ko dahil sa 100K na iyan,” she added.
