Comedy Queen Aiai delas Alas opened up about forgiveness, heartbreak, and self-worth in a candid interview on Dina Bonnevie’s YouTube talk show ‘House of D.’

In the emotional sit-down, Aiai reflected on her personal journey — including her failed relationships and eventual separation from former husband Gerald Sibayan — revealing that she is now at peace.
When asked whether she carries regrets or unresolved anger, Aiai was firm: “Wala, at peace ako ngayon eh, parang okay na ako sa lahat, na ganyan, nangyari ito, ganun talaga ang buhay. Moving forward and just thanking the Lord for everything na hanggang ngayon eh I’m still alive na kahit gaano kasakit yung nangyari sakin, matatag pa rin ako.”
Aiai admitted she has always been the type to love fully — “all mine to give.” She traced this back to her childhood, saying she often felt alone growing up and would do everything to keep the man she loved from leaving.
She shared that while she was always present for others, she often ended up alone in the end.
Looking back, she acknowledged the lessons learned from each relationship: from her first relationship, she realized nothing good comes from being “the other woman”; from the second, she learned that rushing into love leads nowhere; and from her last, she discovered the importance of loving herself first.
Despite the pain she endured, Aiai made it clear she no longer harbors resentment — even toward the men who hurt her.
She revealed that she has forgiven them, including her ex-husband. The most important realization?
“Yung to love myself na hindi ko kailangan ng lalaki para maging masaya ako sa buhay ko.”
She emphasized that a woman’s happiness should not depend on having a partner, and that self-love is non-negotiable.
The conversation also touched on how her children handled her separation. According to Aiai, they gave her space to heal while going through their own grieving process as a family.
Today, the Comedy Queen says she chooses gratitude over bitterness — accepting the past as part of her growth and trusting that everything happened for a reason.
