Up-and-coming action star Javi Benitez revealed why he stayed with ABS-CBN despite having a father who is a blocktimer on TV5.
At the media conference of ABS-CBN teleserye ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam,’ Javi said that he stayed with the network because of his commitment to the project, the cast, and the story.
“I guess its really the commitment to the project and seeing the cast and Dreamscape directors everyone really wanting to do it. It’s very brave and also very showing of how dedicated they are and during this time. Ang ganda ng story, ang ganda ng cast how can you say no di ba?” said Javi.
When asked why is it important for him to do the project, he said that he wants to entertain people. He also noted that he is doing this not because of the money, but because of the cast and crew.
“Syempre as mentioned, it’s really important to entertain the people. I think aside from work and for everyone in this industry. Especially from top to bottom, the utility, the actors, and cast, everyone. The bottom line is more than the money its actually giving entertainment sa fans and everyone around the world,” said Javi.
Javi is the son of the businessman and former congressman Albee Benitez and Dominique “Nikki” Lopez-Benitez. Albee is the man behind Brightlight Productions which made a block time deal with TV5.
Walang Hanggang Paalam‘ premiered this September 28 via Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live. It stars Angelica Panganiban, Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, and Arci Muñoz. It is an action drama series of past lovers brought back together by a crisis and complicates their present relationships.
