Singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre made history as the only Original Pilipino Music artist to receive 11 platinum certificates.
In a bloggers conference, Moira expressed her disbelief that she received a total of 11 platinum awards.
“Di pa rin po ako makapaniwala na nangyari sya. Actually di ko po sya naiisip at all na posible pa palang may mangyari na na ganito in the middle of a pandemic. Kasi di naman po madali para sa ating lahat. Kakaibang season ang pinagdadaanan nating lahat. So wala po talaga sya sa isip ko,” said Moira
Then, Moira added that she is grateful, and she shares her awards with those who helped her.
“I’m so grateful at the same time this isn’t just my recognition because I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the people behind me. So I’m very honored and very grateful, and very shocked still,” said Moira.
She then added that despite her disbelief, she feels pressure to step up every time she gets an award.
“May stages sya usually, minsan, most of the time like today disbelief pa ko tas mga medyo one week yan mangyayari. Ta’s after noon madadagdagan yung pressure na, ‘Ayan may award ka nanaman. Kailangan mo nanaman magstep up,” Moira added.
Moira’s ASAP Natin To Family surprised her last October 18 when they presented her with multiple platinum awards making her the only OPM artist to bag 11 platinum certificates.
