BL (Boys Love) actors Alex Diaz and Tony Labrusa were once speculated to be in a secret relationship. But this speculation was disaffirmed by Alex who also defended his friend Tony as he does not want it to affect his career.
Despite this controversy, Alex said that he is ready to work with Tony on a BL series project. He said this during the online media conference of Oh Mando.
“I think to dissect the situation, I need to take complete ownership sa lahat ng mga bagay sa buhay natin. In terms of clarification, wala na akong kailangan i-clarify kasi I think naka ilang interview na ako and I think kami din ni Tony alam namin na kahit anong sabihin namin, you know people will really talk and the issue won’t die because it’s on the internet…” Alex said.
“Alam ko naman na pag nag-project kami ni Tony, maraming manunuod. Papatok siya because of the issue. So if the script is really good, if the script is fantastic, why not?” he added.
Tony recently starred in the BL series, Hello Stranger with JC Alcantara while Alex has an upcoming series entitled Oh, Mando.
Moreover, Alex came out as bisexual last year after he was accused of indecent proposals by a fitness trainer. Tony cleared up speculations about his gender as said that he cannot call himself a ‘homosexual’.
