3 things that Christian Bables is sure of: No BL projects unless it is relevant to the LGBTQ+ community

With the initial lockdown due to the pandemic and ABS-CBN losing its franchise, Kapamilya actor Christian Bables realized that there were only three things that he was sure of.

This he revealed in an interview with LionhearTV.

When the network closed, Christian couldn’t hide his worry.

No to BL movies or series with no relevance to the LGBTQ+ community

With him being offered multiple BL series, Christian said that he only accepts offers that can be important to the LGBT+ community.

Sorry, wala akong makitang relevant. Ako, ang sabi ko sa sarili ko at usapan namin ng aking manager, ni Tito Boy Abunda, I am very much willing to do series na inclined sa LGBT community. Or series or movies or kung ano man yang project na inclined sa LGBT community as long as it is relevant. Alam mo yung nakakatulong sa komunidad. Nakakatulong at makakatulong sa komunidad. Yung merong gustong sabihin, merong gustong iparating. Merong gustong ituro. Ayun yung mga projects na nakakakuha ng interes ko at ng manager ko,” he said.

Only one project so far showcased the relevance of what it is like being a part of said community, he revealed.

It is about under Epicmedia Productions directed by Carlo Catu. Ang ganda-ganda ng episode na ‘to kasi it’s like a short film. Parang ganun. Tinuturo nya or pinapakita nya yung pinagdadaanan ngayong pandemic.

Importance of SOGIE Bill

With regards to SOGIE Bill, Christian, who is an avid supporter of the Bill wants it to be passed soon.

Simple lang, dahil tao din sila,” he said.

For Christian, society needs to accept the fact that there are no longer 2 genders. Instead of fighting over genders, it is better for people to be aware of the realization that these members of the LGBTQ+ are also human beings.

He also added, “At tayo bilang tao, minsan mahirap magpakatao.
