Despite the ups and downs that ABS-CBN has encountered during 2020 from the rejected franchise to its comeback in free television, it chose to be stronger and greater by revealing its new strong lineup of TV programs, movies, and streaming platforms.
Starting off Together As One sa 2021 lineup of ABS CBN is the much-awaited ‘Darna: The TV Series‘ that will air in 2021.
Last December 4, ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes announced that the project will take place in 2021 during the contract signing of Star Magic.
“So ngayong 2021 na po, ‘Mars Ravelo’s Darna: the TV series’ starring none other than Ms. Jane de Leon.”
With the Darna movie indefinitely postponed, the TV series version will push through with Jane de Leon as the leading star.
Jane, who was surprised at the announcement, thanked Vidanes and the ABS-CBN bosses for the opportunity.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat, especially sa mga bosses. ‘Yung pakiramdam ko po ngayon parang nag-flashback po ‘yung time na in-announce po sa akin ‘yung Darna. And hindi ko po talaga ini-expect.”
Next up, the comeback of the Gold Squad, Francine Diaz, Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin. This upcoming Philippine drama television series that will be broadcasted on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, will be a new inspirational series, in the vein of its memorable offerings, such as “May Bukas Pa” and “Starla.
Gerald Anderson, JM De Guzman, and Yam Concepcion star Star Creatives’ newest television series, “Init Sa Magdamag.”
The cast also shared a little overview of the characters they’re going to portray in the series. Gerald is going to be a community doctor, while Yam is a congresswoman. JM, on the other hand, plays the husband of Yam, who aspires to become a politician.
Next top is La Vida Lena. After the change of the main actress and title of this series, this revenge drama series is finally pushing through starring Erich Gonzales, JC de Vera, Kit Thompson, and Carlo Aquino.
It was also revealed that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s still-untitled TV project will be a romantic series about experiencing timeless love.
In addition to these, ABS CBN is all set to also give their Kapamilya viewers the movie line up that they’ve always wanted.
Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber are going to serve a love story to remember in Princess Dayareese.
ABS-CBN Films Managing Director Olivia “Inang” Lamasan has confirmed that the MayWard project is currently in the works.
Snooky Serna, Pepe Herrera, Alora Sasam, Igi boy Flores, Neil Coleta, Gold Azeron, CJ Salonga, and the vlogger-influencer Christine Samson will also join the cast of Princess Dayareese.
Working together for the very first time, Coco Martin and Angelica Panganiban will star in an upcoming movie, Love or Money.
Last March, ABS-CBN Middle East posted a photo of Coco and Angelica shooting their romantic comedy movie in Dubai.
ABS-CBN also announced the digital re-launch of MYX and MOR Philippines, as well as the upcoming digital concerts of Regine Velasquez, Piolo Pascual and Moira dela Torre and more series and movies on iWantTFC such as Tenement 66 starring Francine Diaz and Francis Magundayao; Hoy… I Love You starring Joross Gamboa and Roxanne Guinoo, and Unloving U starring love team and real life couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte.
