AlDub fans went berserk over the simple exchange of comments of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
On Instagram, the ‘Pambansang Bae’ Alden Richards flaunted his new X-Men vs Sentinel diorama collectibles. Being a Marvel fan, he posed with a giant action figure of a Sentinel and X-Men characters Arcangel, Beast, Psylocke, and Colossus.

Maine Mendoza, his former love team partner, commented with emojis of money with wings to denote Alden’s expenses in buying his collection.
Accordingly, the mentioned X-Men collectibles cost almost 200,000 pesos.
Alden then replied to a Maine, “@mainedcm kasi naman…”.
However, this simple exchange of comments sparked the hope of their fans, because it has been a long time since Maine has commented on Alden’s post.
In 2015, the AlDub tandem rose to prominence being one of the most followed love teams of the generation. Their tandem was accidentally discovered during the ‘Kalyeserye’ segment of Eat Bulaga. However, their story did not end well as they parted ways and decided to build their careers individually.
Maine also announced in 2019 that she is dating Arjo Atayde, which broke the hearts of AlDub fans. In the same year, Alden was introduced to his new leading lady Kathryn Bernardo for their movie Hello Love, Goodbye.
Despite their break-up as a love team, Alden and Maine remain good friends and still work together as hosts on Eat Bulaga.
In 2018, TAPE Inc., and APT Entertainment big boss Tony Tuviera announced that the script for AlDub’s new project will be out soon. However, until now, no new projects have been unveiled.
With AlDub fans’ high hopes, will a reunion project of Alden and Maine happen soon?
