As the country’s Mr. Pure Energy and one ABS-CBN ASAP‘s mainstays for years; he witnessed how the network grew on all counts.
Just like the fans, Gary Valenciano still couldn’t believe how things turned out with the ABS-CBN 2 and TV5 networks’ partnership and hoped more doors to open for many.
In his Instagram account, Gary V. summarized in slide images about the Network’s journey over the years and shared it with his followers.
“To this day I can’t grasp how all this has happened especially after all that has happened. I believed it’s a First in Philippine television history. I can’t help but be thankful for this new development. May it result to many God-opened-doors for many,” he said in a post.

He started the slide with ‘ONCE UPON A TIME IT WAS THIS (red, green, and blue heart emojis)’ in a black background. The colors represented the Kapamilya logo.
‘THEN IT WAS THIS (red broken heart emoji, while green and blue heart emojis intact)’ were the texts in the second photo–it was when Kapamilya stars had greatly been affected by the possible shutdown of the Network due to a franchise issue.
The slide was followed by ‘THEN THIS’ with no emojis and succeeded by an empty photo with a plain black background. The images showed when the celebrities and staff members fought their hardest battle after receiving a closure order from NTC, finally bid farewell to its viewers.
ABS-CBN never lose hope and grabbed the opportunity with Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s channel, now A2Z Channel 11. Those moments described in texts as ‘THEN BACK TO THIS (red, green, and blue heart emojis)’ are seen in the post.
More revelations were divulged in the succeeding slides as he added ‘NOW IT’S THIS’ with white heart emoji to the Kapamilya heart emoticons.
He also confirmed that the rumored partnership between two Networks will finally happen. As he put, ‘ABS-CBN & TV5’ and felt ‘WOW’ (still with the four heart emojis) as he couldn’t imagine such things would happen.
Valenciano addressed fans in his post with a ‘KAPAMILYA & KAPATID!!! (surrounded by happy face emojis in the background)’ photo and ended the slides with red, green, blue, and white heart emojis in the background of folded hands emojis.
Fans from both Networks can catch Mr. Pure Energy and fellow ASAP Natin ‘To mainstays on TV5. It already premiered on Sunday noon, January 24.
